LÁSZLÓ MÉSZÁROS

Head teacher and founder, trained as a ballet teacher at the Institutes of Ballet in Budapest and St. Petersburg.

LÁSZLÓ is employed as a teacher at the Royal Swedish School of Ballet, the University College of Dance and Balettakademi in Stockholm.

LÁSZLÓ MÉSZÁROS is a former principal dancer and dance teacher. 
After completing his studies at the Hungarian Academy of Dance at the age of 19 he then went on to study in St. Petersburg with a state scholarship in 1972. Two years later he was a ballet soloist at the Hungarian Opera House.

Between 1981-84 he was a principal dancer at the Norwegian Opera. Then he was invited to dance all over Europe.

                               

In 1986 he was asked to become ballet master at the Malmö City Theatre. Since then he has been ballet master for the Royal Ballet in Stockholm, Gothenburg Theatre, the Cullberg Ballet, Östgöta Ballet, etc.

At the same time he completed his training as a ballet teacher at the Hungarian Academy of Dance.

Since 1988 László was permanently employed as a ballet teacher at the Royal Swedish School of Ballet.

In 1992 László started his own enterprise, Klassisk Balett LM AB, with the aim of preparing students to audition for the Royal Swedish School of Ballet and other well-known schools of dance – such as the Alvin Alley School in the USA, or The Laban Centre in England, etc.
Every year Klassisk Balett LM AB arranges summer courses in Budapest for dance pupils. This course is open to applicants from the age of 13 and upwards.
