About food:

Students get a substantial breakfast in the hotel where they will be living – at a very nice spot in  Buda. In the middle of the day they will have 3 hours free time, so that they can have a proper lunch, near the ballet rooms  and the hotel - they are all in the same area -  where there are plenty of places to choose from. Even the hotel has a nice choice of menu during the  day for a very reasonable price.

NB!!!!  We don't recommend this course for students who are very strict vegetarians,  or have sensitiveness of certain food.  The reason for that is:  in Hungary vegetarians can’t manage with other than proper, varied  food due to the hard work which  demands  a great deal of calories and strength. That’s why we expect you to contact Agnes for further discussion about this subject if you have specialities concerning food.

The name of the currency  in Hungary is forint, (HUF), 1 Skr is 27 forint,  1 euro is about 250 forint at present. A lunch/dinner is likely to cost  between 800-2000 HUF, which corresponds to 30-80 Skr,    4-10 euros. A bottle of refreshment costs about  1-2 euros.   Participants  need some pocket money for lunches and dinners, usually I recommend an amount of about  16-21 EUR   cca 150-200 kr for our Swedish students per day.

Our rules:

We have strict rules, such as:  Students  are obliged to participate in all lessons and programs. They  have to follow their schedule. In case of  free hours, participant  can only go somewhere with our permission and then never alone. Everyone must return by 22.00 at the latest. Obviously, during the entire course alcohol is entirely prohibited – and this applies to everyone, even those over 20. We have to have these rules, because it is a great responsibility, and anyone who finds them unacceptable is advised to avoid our course.

EUROPEAN HEALTH INSURANCE CARD        IS ESSENTIAL!

Every Member State is responsible for the distribution of the European Health Insurance Card to its citizens. However, the model of this card is identical and has the same technical specifications in all the Member States, which enables health care providers in every Member State to identify the card immediately.

Schedule:

The students will get different dance-classes during the daytime, such as classical ballet, modern, contact improvisation,  floor work, pilates, girokinesis, folk-dance, etc.   A detailed schedule will be provided on the day of arrival, as well as the allocation of rooms – according to students’ wishes. In the  evenings we will be organizing a cultural program so that we can benefit from Hungary’s incredibly rich offerings. This will mainly involve dances, musicals, open-air performances, depending on the summer repertoires in Budapest. We will also have sight-seeing in Budapest, excursions, and a visit to Lake Balaton for recreation, etc.

Best regards:   Ágnes Mészáros   – organizer
